Two-year follow-up after holmium laser enucleation of the prostate and bipolar transurethral resection of the prostate: a prospective randomized study

Abstract Background Different treatment options are available for the management of BPH. Our study aimed to compare surgical outcomes a holmium laser enucleation prostate (HoLEP) and bipolar transurethral resection (Bipolar-TURP) after 2 years. Methods prospective randomized included 114 patients: 55 patients underwent HoLEP procedure 59 TURP procedure. All complete preoperative assessment physical examination. The postoperative follow-up data Q max IPSS recordings at 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 months PVR urinary volume 6 12 months. Any complications were also recorded. Results There no statistically significant differences between both groups regarding scores one postoperative. Also, there One patient in group developed total incontinence surgery. Conclusion did not show difference follow-up.
